Description
Commemorating the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, the Bard’s portly knight comes to the University Opera stage in the title role of Verdi’s Falstaff. University Opera presents a new production of this final, outrageous jewel of the composer’s career: his comic (and often chaotic) masterpiece about the scheming knight of Windsor. Conducted by James Smith and directed by David Ronis, this production is an unashamed making of merriment in a grand manner only Verdi could orchestrate.
Cost
Tickets $25; $20 over 62 seniors; $10 students
