Description
The Center for iPS (induced pluripotent stem) Cell Research (CiRA) at Kyoto University is directed by Nobel Prize recipient Dr. Shinya Yamanaka and is the home of iPS cells. Peter Karagiannis, a science writer at CiRA, will talk about research opportunities at CiRA & life in Kyoto. The talk is for undergrads considering grad school and grad students considering post docs abroad. Peter will talk about why scientists of all backgrounds, not just those in molecular & cellular biology, are needed.
