Description
This seminar will discuss use of a naturally occurring disease model in dogs of a peripheral neurodegenerative disease. Through use of genome-wide association analysis, we will discuss preliminary results of a study investigating a specific peripheral neuropathy in dogs, thought to be similar to some forms of Charcot Marie Tooth disease in people. The clinical features of this condition in dogs and how the unique genomic architecture of dogs aids this type of investigation will be presented.
