Professor JoAnn Kuchera-Morin, Director of the AlloSphere Research Facility at the University of California, Santa Barbara will talk about the challenges of understanding big data. Professor of Media Arts & Technology and of Music, Kuchera-Morin transforms BIG DATA using sight and sound, designing interactive visual and aural data representations allowing researchers to experiment and to experience simulations in real time.
