Chris Kucharik, UW Nelson Institute, discusses the challenges of cleaning up the Yahara River watershed in the face of the uncertainties of climate change and land use planning. The tools of scenarios, or provocative and plausible stories that guide numerical simulations of the future, and new model results from Yahara 2070, a set of scenarios created for the Yahara River watershed by the Water Sustainability and Climate Project at UW-Madison, will be discussed.
