Description
Symposium on history, ritual, topography, architecture and icons of Mount Athos and Eastern Orthodox Christian Monasticism in the Byzantine Empire. Lectures by LauraLee Brott (UW-Madison), Thomas Dale (UW-Madison), Christos Kakalis (Newcastle University), Kristin Edwards (UW-Madison), Mateuz Ferens (UW-Madison), Derek Krueger (University of North Carolina-Greensboro), Leonora Neville (UW-Madison), Michele Prestholt (UW-Madison) and Alice-Mary Talbot (Dumbarton Oaks).
