Germanic heritage languages such as Yiddish, Pennsylvania Dutch, Mennonite Low German, and Hutterite are thriving. Join native speakers for a discussion of language, faith, identity, and society. This is the Keynote event for the symposium "People of Faith, Voices of Tradition: Germanic Heritage Languages among Christians and Jews." Participants: Miriam Isaacs (Yiddish), Lynn Marcus Miller (PA Dutch), Heinrich Siemens (Mennonite Low German), Tony Waldner (Hutterite). Followed by reception.
