Description
On August 21, a total solar eclipse will sweep across the country from Oregon to South Carolina. Here in Wisconsin, most of the sun will be covered by the moon for a few eerie minutes. Come learn from Jim Lattis, director of UW–Madison's Space Place, about how to safely view the eclipse, why they happen when they do, and what scientists have learned by studying eclipses over the centuries. An informal conversation over beers, Science on Tap–Madison is designed to bring science to the city.
