Faculty Careers at Teaching-Intensive Institutions

Faculty from these institutions will provide insights for grad students interested in this career path. These institutions tend to value different skill sets and experiences than R1 universities. Panelists from the humanities and social sciences will discuss: 1) the steps they took to gain the necessary teaching experience; 2) their roles as advisors and mentors; and 3) how they conduct research. The workshop also includes activities for students to assess their preparation for this career path.
