Description
Tales from Planet Earth  showcases global environmental films with the belief that issues don't move people ... stories do! We try to link compelling narratives to the work of scholars and to efforts by community partners advocating for environmental and social justice. The highlight of our work is a biennial film festival thematically journeying around the globe to explore how stories told through film shape our understanding of nature and inspire action on behalf of the diversity of life.  A full schedule of titles, descriptions, venues and screening times can be found at:   http://nelson.wisc.edu/tales/ Tales from Planet Earth   returns November 3-5, 2017 with the theme  Land is Life . Standing Rock. Idle No More. The Landless Worker's Movement.
