Description
Please join us for the closing reception of the "Hyphenated" exhibition on Tuesday, November 21st from 6-8pm at the Class of 1925 Gallery in Memorial Union, presented by the WUD Art Committee. We will also be hosting a discussion panel at 7pm, which will include a few of the students featured in the exhibition. "Hyphenated" is an exhibition in partnership with WUD Film's  Hyphenated Americans Film Festival , which explores and tackles the experiences of Americans with intersecting identities. This exhibition brings the conversations to campus by highlighting the stories of students who identify as "Hyphenated". Through this exhibition, we hope to reclaim a term which has, throughout history, been used to diminish these identities. Our goal is to reassert the beauty in the complexity that makes the fabric of this campus. "Hyphenated" will be showing in the Class of 1925 Gallery at Memorial Union from November 9th - November 21st, 2017. The gallery is open 10am - 8pm. Come see the photography and accompanied stories of various students, have enlightening conversations about our diverse campus, as well as enjoy light refreshments. See you then!
