"Archaeological Analysis of the Mines of Baraboo's Iron Range" by Tamara Thomsen & Mark Langenfeld

Date
Wednesday, January 03, 2018
Time
7-8:15 p.m.
Description
The inundated mines of Baraboo Iron Range were first explored by a small, loosely organized group of avid, certified cave divers that work with landowners to appreciate and preserve these remaining submerged timecapsules of Wisconsin's mining industries. In 2014 the group located and filmed the Freedom Mine. Video footage, 3D models of the remaining mining equipment, and site plans will be shown and explained by Thomsen and Langenfeld.
