Women, Work, and Care:

Professor Janet Gornick of City University of New York will present an overview of work-family reconciliation policies - mainly paid leave, early childhood education and care, and working time regulations - as they currently operate across a selection of high-income countries. She will assess current knowledge and what remains to be learned about the consequences of these policies - both intended and unintended - regarding gender inequality in the labor market.
