Dr. Chase Wesley Raymond (Ph.D.s 2014, 2016, UCLA) is Assistant Professor of Linguistics and Spanish & Portuguese at the University of Colorado, Boulder. His conversation-analytic research interests lie at the intersection of language and (different facets of) social identity, in both ordinary and institutional interaction. Recent work has focused on systems of reference (specifically, reference to persons and to time) and the interactional outcomes involved in language/dialect contact.
