Leveraging Network Structure in Covering Path Problems: An Application to School Bus Routing

This colloquium sponsored by the Grainger Company will feature Dr. Karen Smilowitz, the Charles Deering McCormick Professor of Teaching Excellence in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences at Northwestern University. In this talk, Dr. Smilowitz will provide a broad overview of the partnership between Evanston / Skokie District 65 (a pre K-8 public school district north of Chicago) and will present initial work on the School Bus Routing Problem (SBRP).
