Recognizing and Reducing Implicit Bias

Building cultural competence is critical for graduate students across all disciplines. This workshop introduces the concept of implicit bias by treating it as a habit of mind. Students will learn how to uncover their own biases, discover the underlying concepts and language used to describes bias, and learn evidence-based strategies for reducing biases as they cultivate relationships with people from different backgrounds, experiences, and cultures.
