Description
Yoshi Kawaoka and Peter Halfmann from the School of Veterinary Medicine discuss their project to identify neglected and novel viruses that can represent a major health risk for human populations. Their project, funded by a UW-Madison Global Health Institute Seed Grant, looked at the prevalence of the viruses in Sierra Leone with an eye to improving diagnostic capability and in Sierra Leone, which could lead to advancements in human health.
