In 1837, at the age of eighty, Eliza Hamilton visited Wisconsin. Why? Like any good mother she came to visit her son. William Hamilton was a territorial lead miner and legislator and a bit of a black sheep in the family. He is also our state’s connection to “Hamilton: An American Musical” the blockbuster Broadway hit musical.
