Spiraling Under Control: Myelination of Nerve Cells with John Svaren

Date
Wednesday, January 09, 2013
Time
7 p.m.
Description
Myelin is important because it increases how fast nerve cells respond and helps sustain axons. Svaren's group has focused on the regulation of individual myelin genes by two major regulators. These studies are also developing novel screening assays to identify drugs for peripheral nervous system diseases. Live videostream at biotech.wisc.edu/webcams.
