Water Sustainability in a Changing World

Event Details

Description
Water resources are stressed by agriculture, industry, recreation, and ecosystem needs. Changes in supply and demand are driven by population growth, climate, land use change, and energy choices. We discuss the drivers affecting water sustainability and potential solutions. Management of the water cycle has been fragmented— standards for effluent discharge are often disconnected from quality required downstream. Knowledge gaps make integrated management of water resources difficult.
