He was a producer for WITI-TV Milwaukee, WISN-TV Milwaukee, Wisconsin Public Television, and as an international reporter helping emerging democracies in the former Soviet Union establish independent news operations. He also worked in public relations for the state of Wisconsin and in other non-profits.
