Description
Dario Ringach, UCLA does research on visual neurophysiology and perception. Ringach is active in Pro-Test for Science, is on the Speaking of Research committee, and has published on the ethics of using non-human animals in research. Ringach will discuss the ethics of using animals in scientific experiments aimed at advancing medical knowledge and the health of human and non-human animals. He will respond to common objections to such work, and engage the audience in a discussion of these issues.
