Description
The Irish influence in fostering the emergence of European civilization has been call incalculable. In 590, the Irish monk Columbanus left Ireland for France. He took with him the theology, art, and religious order that had been thriving in Ireland and England while Europe was in darkness. We explore how and why that happened in the time of Charlemagne.
