Description
Stochastic Optimal Control of Natural Gas Networks: Scalable NLP Solvers & Economic Implications

A stochastic optimal control model to optimize gas network inventories in the face of system uncertainties is presented. We demonstrate that gas pipelines can store significant amounts of natural gas and we discuss how this can be used to enable large-scale electricity storage for short-term power grid operations.
Cost
Free and open to campus.
