Changes in economic policies and human migrations driven by globalization have resulted in agricultural abandonment and the regeneration of forest cover in many parts of the world. Dr. Marin- Spiotta will present current perspectives on post-agricultural forests and discuss findings from my group’s research in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
