Description
Caitlin Ryan presents. There is a large body of research on emotion recognition from isolated photographs of faces, but faces appear in context in real life. An emotion recognition in verbal context task is described. Both men and women rated facial emotions differently depending on the verbal context, and the effect was larger in women. Interpretations of findings and implications for future research will be discussed.
