Description
Dr. Gary Bassell is a Professor of Cell Biology and Neurology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Bassell’s lab has been investigating the mechanisms and functions of mRNA trafficking and local protein synthesis in neurons, and the dysfunction of these mechanisms in mouse models of fragile X syndrome and spinal muscular atrophy.
