Description
Marie Daulne, leader and founder of the female vocal polyphonic quintet Zap Mama, has evolved into a performer who alternates between storytelling and creative vocal expression, reinterpreting Urban, Afro-scat and Alternative Funk music. The music of Afrobeat band Antibalas falls somewhere between Eddie Palmieri and Fela Kuti and 'embodies the principles of grassroots revolutionary movements,' according to the BBC.
