Description
Mary Louise Roberts is the Lucie Aubrac Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. In this talk she will discuss the influence of the U.S. presence on Normandy Beach, both on D-Day and beyond.
At least as it has been told by American historians, the story of Normandy suffers from a fatal lopsidedness. Because historical narratives focus almost exclusively on the American G.I., they slight the French and leave half the story untold.
