Description
Anthropomorphism is the tendency to humanize what is not human. In her research, Professor Nancy Wong has explored the role of relationships in the application of anthropomorphism to promote conservation behavior. She has studied the differences between the common metaphor of mother (e.g., Mother Earth) and a new metaphor of the environment as a child. Her research has also explored the psychological pathway and boundary conditions that underlie these metaphors.
