Volunteer Tutoring Program: Training

This session starts with a discussion about Non-Traditional Learners – who they are and how their backgrounds and learning goals may vary. We then identify learning styles and modalities and explore teaching techniques suited to each of them. After brainstorming activities appropriate to the various learning styles, we finish the session with a clearer idea about how our own learning styles affect our teaching and how to be more responsive to the needs of our learner.
