Description
Energy, how it is produced, how it is stored and how it is used is perhaps the most important issue for the next century. In this presentation I will provide an overview of some of materials projects, which I have participated in over the past 20 years. All are linked by the generation, storage and efficient use of energy. These include light harvesting porphyrin arrays, hydrogen storage materials, thin films for solid state lighting and energy storage materials for advance batteries.
