Description
Dr. Mary Kelley (Univ. of MI) will give the CHPDC Annual Distinguished Lecture. Over the course of her distinguished career, Professor Kelley has been a pioneering figure in American women’s history and the history of the book in America. Her many books include Private Woman, Public Stage: Literary Domesticity in Nineteenth-Century America (Oxford, 1984) and Learning to Stand and Speak: Women, Education, and Public Life (UNC, 2006).
