Nathaniel Mackey, Reynolds Price Professor of English at Duke University, will read from recent installments of serial works in both poetry ("Mu"/Song of the Andoumboulou) and prose (From a Broken Bottle Traces of Perfume Still Emanate), and from his newest work Blue Fasa (forthcoming from New Directions Press). One of America's preeminent experimental writers, Mackey has favored serial (ongoing) forms as part of his engagement with musical structures, open form, and diasporic poetics.
