Public Lecture by Yuyi Morales

Celebrated picture book artist Yuyi Morales will discuss her life and work in an illustrated lecture, hosted by the Cooperative Children's Book Center. Ms. Morales has won the Pura Belpre Award multiple times for her inventive picture books celebrating Mexican-American children. Most recently she received a Caldecott Honor for Viva Frida, a bilingual picture book about the artist Frida Kahlo. There will be a book signing after the lecture with books for sale on site by A Room of Own's Own.
