Kathy Edin of Johns Hopkins University and Luke Shaefer of the University of Michigan will discuss their research that finds a large rise in $2-a-day poverty--defined as cash incomes of no more than $2 per person, per day for a month or calendar quarter--among U.S. households with children between 1996 and 2011. Co-sponsored with IRP, CDE and Wisconsin HOPE Lab.
