Examining how societies shape and are shaped by “working scriptures,” beginning in African American and other diaspora contexts, Wimbush’s projects raise compelling ideas for thinking about and acting on contemporary socio-economic, racial and religious issues. He offers fresh insights into examining power structures and discourses about who “we” are.
