12-1 p.m.
Location
Description
Andreas Velten, UW Department of Molecular Biology, will discuss the novel imagining systems developed by the Computational Optics Group at the UW Laboratory for Optical and Computational Instrumentation (LOCI), allowing the capture of information inaccessible to a regular camera. In collaboration with the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab, they are using these systems to explore the inside of caves on the moon from a low lunar orbit.
