Drones are rapidly moving from the military world into the commercial world. From real estate applications to pizza delivery, the commercial drone market is worth an estimated US$90 billion over the next ten years. This talk takes a look at economic and political geography to understand how this new market is being created, paying particular attention to the role of the state in setting up a new regulatory geography of the vertical.
