Wisconsin Union Exhibitions

Boris Osterov uses paint to explore the physicality and dimensions of art, creating abstract paintings that evoke urgency in the viewer. The exhibit allows these colorful, full bodied paintings to speak to the visitor in new ways. 
Artist Statement: "In my recent works I push the logic of oil painting to an extreme, creating bizarre results. The pieces with extrusions of thick, juicy oil paint from cake-decorating bags exist somewhere between sculpture and painting and some propose paintings as merely supports for paint."
