We Banjo 3 and Cristina Pato

Galician bagpiper, pianist and composer Cristina Pato is returning to the Wisconsin Union Theater after starring in the 2013 Madison World Music Festival, this time to perform with We Banjo 3. As the first female Galician bagpiper to release a solo album, Pato has collaborated with legends like Yo-Yo Ma and Arturo O'Farril and has become a world renowned success, performing in places from China to Europe. Pato brings an additional spice to 2012 Traditional Music Album of the Year We Banjo 3's Irish and bluegrass sound. "Technically sophisticated and stylistically adventuresome in a way rarely heard in Irish music," says Daniel Neely of The Irish Echo. "Intricate neotrad arrangement that features some seriously pyrotechnicplaying."
