our other online screenings\, reply to the google form below to receive a
n email containing the link to the streaming portal. You will be able to w

 g a discussion with the director\, Arun Karthick\, so fill out the Q&amp\;
A submission form below if you'd like us to ask the director any specific
questions.&nbsp\; &nbsp\; About the film: Salesman Nasir lives a contended
life with his mother Fatima\, wife Taj and nephew Iqbal in a closely popu
lated ghetto. Employed in an apparel shop at the heart of a busy city\, th
e middle aged Nasir is a hard worker. He speaks humorously and makes other
s laugh. He is also endowed with a half-baked philosophical attitude\, so
he likes poetry. On Sundays he composes poems along the lines of Hindi fil
m songs of the sixties and launches them in front of his co-workers. When
he recites his poems\, he starts with his right hand placed over his chest
and with wave-like motions nearly brushing the noses of the listeners. He
smokes ten Beedis a day and drinks four cups of tea. He goes for his midd
ay prayers occasionally. Nasir's chronicle emerges through the detailed ob
servation of his vicinity over the span of one particular day. As his day
unfolds we find him to be a nimble romantic\, marshaling a love of love\,
song\, children\, friendship\, and even God to rise into something resembl
ing a life well lived. But the increasing communal bigotry has other plans

irected by Susan Rockefeller. &nbsp\; Reply to the google form below to re

the discussion are available to anyone who is interested.&nbsp\; &nbsp\; A
bout the films: Joanna Macy &amp\; The Great Turning Joanna Macy and the G
reat Turning &nbsp\;is a 26-minute film in which Joanna shares her&nbsp\;u
nderstanding of these times we live in\, when everything we treasure seems
to be at risk. But it is not a film about despair. Instead\, it is about
the opportunity we have to&nbsp\;come alive to our truest power\, to "look
straight into&nbsp\;the face of our time\, which is the biggest gift we c
an give\," and to participate in the Great Turning. What is the Great Turn
ing? It is\, as Joanna describes it\, the shift from the industrial growth
society to a life-sustaining civilization. It is\, she believes\, the thi
rd major revolution of human existence\, after the agricultural and indust
rial revolutions. This one\, though\, has to unfold much more quickly. The
good news is that it is\, all around the world. “The most remarkable fe
ature of this historical moment on Earth\,” says Joanna\, “Is not that
we are on the way to destroying the world — we've actually been on the
way for quite a while. It is that we are beginning to wake up\, as from a
millennia-long sleep\, to a whole new relationship to our world\, to ourse
lves and each other.” This is a thoughtful\, and ultimately hopeful\, fi
lm for anyone concerned about the future of life on the planet.&nbsp\; "We
imagine they'll look back at us\," Joanna says\, referring to future gene
rations\, "Living in these early years of the third millennium\,&nbsp\;and
say\, 'Oh\, those ancestors.&nbsp\;They were taking part in the Great Tur
 ning.'” &nbsp\; Watch the trailer:&nbsp\; https://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=BUkoXMff1Vw &nbsp\; Water Warriors Water Warriors is the story of a comm
unity’s successful resistance against the oil and gas industry. When an
energy company begins searching for natural gas in New Brunswick\, Canada\
, indigenous and white families unite to drive out the company in a campai
gn to protect their water and way of life. In 2013\, Texas-based SWN Resou
rces arrived in New Brunswick\, Canada to explore for natural gas. The reg
ion is known for its forestry\, farming and fishing industries\, which are
both commercial and small-scale subsistence operations that rural communi
ties depend on. In response\, a multicultural group of unlikely warriors
–including members of the Mi’kmaq Elsipogtog First Nation\, French-spe
aking Acadians and white\, English-speaking families–set up a series of
road blockades\, sometimes on fire\, preventing exploration. After months
of resistance\, their efforts not only halted drilling\; they elected a ne
w government and won an indefinite moratorium on fracking in the province
