DESCRIPTION:“In 2020\, we experienced a collective transition. Time and s
pace fixated themselves at the forefront of us. We move alongside temporal
and spatial planes in spite of the challenges or triumphs they bring. Now
\, in 2021\, we navigate a new transition\, but can we sense ourselves in
transit?” IN TRANSIT is a multimedia\, collaborative exhibition that hig
hlights young people and how they use art to pass through and across space
and time. This experiment tugs on the nostalgia of the pre-Covid world wh
ile simultaneously encouraging artists to transmit their transforming live
d experiences through the media of art. Abrams and Parker curated a cohort
of artists to explore these thematic questions through a self-portrait
 — thereby\, presenting a collection of intersectional stories of the del
icate transition of time through art that encounters class\, race\, sexual
ity\, and gender. Enjoy the exhibition of “IN TRANSIT”\, curated by So
phia Abrams and Elizabeth Parker\, in Gallery 1308 at Union South. “IN T
