DESCRIPTION:*Note: actual end time may vary.* \n “In 2020\, we experienc
ed a collective transition. Time and space fixated themselves at the foref
ront of us. We move alongside temporal and spatial planes in spite of the
challenges or triumphs they bring. Now\, in 2021\, we navigate a new trans
ition\, but can we sense ourselves in transit?” IN TRANSIT is a multimed
ia\, collaborative exhibition that highlights young people and how they us
e art to pass through and across space and time. This experiment tugs on t
he nostalgia of the pre-Covid world while simultaneously encouraging artis
ts to transmit their transforming lived experiences through the media of a
rt. Abrams and Parker curated a cohort of artists to explore these themati
 c questions through a self-portrait — thereby\, presenting a collection
of intersectional stories of the delicate transition of time through art t
hat encounters class\, race\, sexuality\, and gender. Enjoy the exhibition
of “IN TRANSIT”\, curated by Sophia Abrams and Elizabeth Parker\, in
Gallery 1308 at Union South. “IN TRANSIT” will be open to the public f
 rom August 10th - September 10th 2021.&nbsp\;\n\nCONTACT: art@union.wisc.e
