We very luckily secured almost full funding from the Wisconsin Union (directors fund) to bring in an expe rt Swiftwater River Rescue Instructor from out of state. This instructor w rote multiple books on whitewater rescue and will be providing our group w ith a 2-day \;Swiftwater River Rescue Operations training and certific ation through  \; Wilderness Rescue International .  \; More infor mation on this instructor's experience is available  \; here . Our goa l with this course is to provide yall with as much time as possible with N ate while he is in town (His flight from Idaho arrives late on Friday even ing and leaves early on Monday morning). We will shoot to meet up at Memor ial Union early on Saturday to load up gear and transport to our Classroom /Rapid on Wolf River near Langlade\, WI (Gilmore’s Mistake and other rap ids...). We will learn\, practice rescue skills\, and paddle all weekend\, returning \;late in the evening on Sunday. We will hopefully be campi ng \;at some \;group sites at Bear Paw Outdoor Adventure Center ne ar the river on Saturday night. \; All food and transportation costs w ill be covered in the $50 registration fee for this course. \; For mor e information on this training please view the attached document from &nbs p\; Wilderness Rescue International.  \;  \; Eligibility Criteria Students should be in strong athletic condition\, in good health\, and hav e moderate swimming ability in strong current.
