DESCRIPTION:The Mad City Jug Band portrays Americana and roots music at its
greatest. It is a unique 7 member performance band dedicated to preservin
g and celebrating the classic jug band music from the1920s and 30s as well
as the jug band revival hits from the 1960s that were made popular by mus
icians like the Greatful Dead and Jim Kweskin and the Jug Band. Then there
are hokum tunes from the early 1900s which use analogies and euphemistic
references to keep the songs “G-rated”. Jug band music is loved by peo
ple of all ages. The band features instruments such as guitars\, banjo\, u
 kelele\, fiddle\, harmonica\, upright bass\, accordion\, kazoo\, washboard
