Description
The Wisconsin Union Directorate Art Committee is now issuing a call for art for the upcoming exhibition “FIRST 100 DAYS”. Open to any artist (including, but not limited to, students) from the greater Madison area, working in all media. Submissions are due on Saturday, April 1st, 2017 at 11:59pm CST. No entry fee.
The exhibition "FIRST 100 DAYS" curated by WUD Art Committee will open on April 29th in Gallery 1308, Union South.  The opening reception will be held from 12-2PM.

From the time of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the first 100 days of performance have become a benchmark to assess the country's new leader. The first day of Trump’s America began with his inauguration at noon on Friday, January 20th, and the 100th day of his presidency will be April 29th. Are you angry, satisfied, scared, ashamed, proud, disturbed, or something else entirely? What has Trump accomplished within his first 100 days and how will you evaluate his time in the White House?

This exhibition “FIRST 100 DAYS” invites all artists from the greater Madison area to submit a piece of work that reflects Trump’s first 100 days of presidency through artistic expression. Artists from all political backgrounds are welcomed and encouraged to submit a work for consideration. We are looking for a broad range of submissions that could include visual art, poetry, creative writings, performance art, or hands-on art making activities.
