Winter Carnival Snowshoe & Campfire

Hoofers Winter Carnival Just Because It's February Doesn't Mean We Can't Play Outside! Stay active with an evening hike out to Picnic Point and warm up at the campfire! Hoofer Outing Club members invite you to join them to snowshoe, cross-country ski or hike out to Picnic Point to enjoy the view and camaraderie around a campfire. The trek starts from Memorial Union at 7pm and the last group will leave by 8pm.  Outing Club members will help fit and check out snowshoes and cross country skis and boots as long as they last. Or, bring your own winter trekking gear or bike. If you have a headlamp, we highly recommend bringing it along! The path will be dimly lit. If you have questions, email outingpresident@hoofers.org . Chili and hot chocolate available in Mendota Lodge, in the lower level of Memorial Union on Lake Mendota from 6-7pm.  Come snag a hot meal before you snowshoe out to the campfire at Picnic Point!
