Charlie Painter Trio

Charlie Painter is a self-studied, self-producing, Madison-based guitarist, teacher, and band leader. After nearly a decade of weekly gigs under his belt, Painter has grown into a fearless improviser, embracing both electric and acoustic versions of his trio. Informed and eschewing cliche, Charlie's modern take on Bop/Latin/Big Band standards will keep your mind guessing and feet tapping.   This event is intended for UW-Madison students, faculty, staff, Wisconsin Union members and their guests. Anyone can become a  Wisconsin Union member .
