  the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in the Climate and Gl
 obal Dynamics Laboratory. Her talk will discuss the variability in boreal 
 biomass burning (BB) emissions and its influences on Arctic sea ice on mul
 ti-decadal time scales. Additionally\, this talk will show preliminary res
 ults that suggest an important role of aerosol emissions\, and not just BB
